Deqing Phodrang Mountain

Deqing Phodrang Mountain is also called 'Riwoqe', which means big mountain in Tibetan. The mountain is about 30 kilometers (about 18.6 miles) away from Chamdo Town. Here you will find yourself in the middle of green peaks surrounded by elegant flowing water singing pleasantly. Deqing Phodrang is not very high, therefore it is very good for hiking allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty on offer. On 15th June in the Tibetan calendar, people, old or young, living far and near, will dress themselves up and take tsamba, beef and highland barley wine to worship Deqing Phodrang Mountain.
