Recently the Chinese government has issued an order that all supermakets, vegetable markets and shopping malls must not provide free one-off white plastic bags from Jun 1st.

In fact, early in 2005 Lhasa had ordered not to use plastic dining boxes and bags in the whole city, which had achieved effective results. Recently the Tibet government has also ordered the whole regions of Tibet should follow Lhasa City and not to use the plastic bags.

This is the environment friendly bags that a Lhasa supermarket provides.

What do you think of this policy?
