Hi, Just wondering if anyone has experienced or spoken to anyone who has experienced travelling in Tibet in mid-December. I know it will be cold , but how cold? There will be two of us flying into Lhasa in mid-Dec and after a few days we were hoping to find other travellers to share the cost of a 4wd for the seven day trip, via Everest Base camp to Nepal. I guess if it's unlikely to find other people to share transport costs with and if it's not possible to drive to EBC at this time of year or if it will simply be too cold, then we may consider travelling somewhere else. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Undoubtedly, the best time of year to visit Tibet is between June and August. Snow storms whip up apparently from nowhere and many of the mountain passes far exceed an altitude of 5000m and are easily snowed in. And the road condition is really out of your expectation. Snow would be the biggest problem for your tour.
