You will be thrilled the whole day when you visit the Tiananmen Square - one of the largest and grandest city squares in the world; the Forbidden City - the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Temple of Heaven - once was the royal temple. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served as Welcome Dinner at a well-known restaurant. The cheering Peking Opera (the national opera) is scheduled as evening delight after dinner.

The last stop of Turpan focus on the Jiaohe Ruins, which is known as the largest, oldest and best-preserved earthen city in the world. As a leading way of fetching water in the past, the visit to Karez Well will inspire your interest. Then conclude the day by visit to the Sugong Pagoda. Board an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang.

17th Day: Dunhuang (L)

Drive back by highway to downtown to have a decent lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda after lunch and a brief period of rest. In the evening, we arrange the Dumpling Banquet which is unique in Xian, the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show is scheduled afterwards.
