Author: MOUNTAINBANDIT	Hi, My wife and I, and a mutual friend, are seeking a 4th trekking partner on our 3-week trip to SE Tibet in April. Our original 4th person backed out due to work commitments. Where? - The Tsari region in SE Tibet, very close to the border with Assam, India. Expect deep & lush gorges, snowy peaks, glacial lakes, some mountain passes. When? - First 3 weeks of April. Early in the season for trekking, though. $$$ - Estimated US$1,600, excluding international airfares, souvenirs, etc. Includes domestic flights Chengdu-Lhasa- Chengdu, and just about everything else! Estimate based on last Tibet trip in '04 and previous trekking trips in West Sichuan, China. Travelling independently? - Plan to sign up with a Lhasa travel agent whom we previously used. But will be fairly independent; we plan to do our own cooking, bring our own camping gear, etc. Local guides + pack animals will be involved. So expect to do some camp chores! Looking for? - Someone to share the costs, to be frank. Equally important, someone who loves to trek, who is generally patient, sociable (for 3 weeks at least!), adventurous. My wife and I are Singaporeans in our early 30s, and are currently living in Singapore. Our mutual friend, who is in his early 40s, is based in Bangkok.
