 Hello there,
I am preparing a trip to Tibet via the train Jan. 2007. But I heard that the train was stopped due to the bad weather condition in northern Tibet. Is that true? Will it run in Jan? How about the weather in Tibet?

Hi Lauren,
The trains run smoothly in winter, don't worry! Yes, it is quite cold in Northern Tibet now, but Lhasa, Chamdo, Nyingchi will be Ok.

I haven't found any news that Qinghai-Tibet Railway is stopped. I just heard that Ngari, Nakchu and Chamdo may have snow these days.
You can refer to 'Lhasa, Tibet Weather' in the right of this website to have a clue of the weather there.
