I will be hopefully doing some short trekking in Tibet this August with a Nepalese company. I think i will be with a friend, but to go on the trek it's cheaper with more people. Is anyone interesed in trekking and would like to come along some time in August 2005?

HI,
The outline that the trekking company gave me was about 6-7 days, however only 3 of those days are actually trekking and camping. They said the trek would go from the Ganden Monestery through the Gyama Valley, over something called the Jooker La Pass, through to Samye Monestary near Tsetang.
I don't think i and my tavelling companion are fit enough to do the really big walks in Tibet, so i think that 3 days walking is probably enough for us. The rest of the tour includes Lhasa highlights and a few other touristy things not too far from Lhasa. The best bit about this tour is that they drive you everywhere in a jeep, so you don't have to waste time with buses etc. Also they provide everything except a sleeping bag! You don't even have to carry a pack!
Anyway, Some Young Guy, if you are interested let me know :)

sorry that this is a late reply. Please tell me the website for Tibet Fit as i can't find then on the net search. How was your trek? Was it difficult, or not too hard. And did they provide a Tibet Permit???
Thanks
