 I am carrying my own GSM phone and need to buy a local SIM card for my trip to China and Tibet. Which mobile prepaid SIM card will have coverage in Beijing and Lhasa? Approx. how much will it cost?

Many SIM cards of China Mobile are vagile in different cities in China. But some considerable fees will be charged in the places beyond the city where you handle the card. So you'd better handle the card in the city where you would stay for a longer time.

Sisi is right. A SIM card usually cost CNY 30, and the charge for the mobile cruise would be about CNY 0.8/m. But the long-distance charge between different cities is only CNY 0.3/m. usually.
