After college, i want to maybe join the peace corps and request to serve in Tibet.

I had this idea about farming quinoa there. Quinoa is a grain-type plant from Peru, wich is very nutritious and is the only plant food that has all of the essential amino acids (it's a complete protein)

Quinoa is generally undemanding and altitude-hardy, so it can be easily cultivated in the Andes up to about 4,000 meters. Even so, it grows best in well-drained soils and requires a relatively long growing season.

It sounds like it would grow in Tibet. Does it sound feasible that tibetans could start cultivating this, thus improving their situation?
