Hallo,
I plan next year (August-December) bicycle expedition on Tibet (probably from Kashgar to Lhasa). Knows anybody what is the current situation concernig enter in Tibet for independent travellers ? Is possible enter in Tibet over checkpoints and get permit e.g. in Ali (pay fine, of course), or isn't do it as before 2008 ?

You mean you want to enter Tibet individually?
Probably cannot, foreign visitors travel in Tibet with group, as i learned.
