Topic: Need help on solo tibet trip

hi, i m a female frm singapore, am planning a budget trip to china in april/may, first stop is tibet. Through research, i plan to

1. take a flight frm sing-chengdu. Settle all permits n visa matters at Sim's guesthouse where they provide 2way flights frm chengdu-lhasa-chengdu.

2. a bus to lhasa from gongkar airport. ( would like to know the cost n hw to get to the bus)

3. In Lhasa, i don't mind exploring around, but heard that getting to places like potala, u need to have an appointmt or something to purchase the tickets... is kinda hassle.

Do anyone has any idea how do i get a local to be my guide and the cost of getting one? coz i don't intend to join travel groups.

4. intend to fly back to chengdu n to beijing.


I would greatly appreciate it if my doubts can be clarified and any better suggestions that can reduce the budget. =] Thanks!!

you can easily find there are shuttle buses to downtown ,RMB 20 per person ,almost 2 hrs .
you can also choose taxi which is more expensive 150~250 yuan.
