I was wondering if any one has an idea of how I can get to Lhasa without going in a large group. Myself and my partner wish to go in August 2006. I have heard of going in a group of two how did they do this?

I believe the most convenient and gorgeous way to Tibet is the Qing-Tibet Highway. YOu could go this way in few people. No matter by bike,by bus or by truck, you could enjoy a fantastic scene including even a snow in summer. By truck is the cheapest one thereof. for more details you could contact wangxiaojie906@hotmail.com I am a Tibet fan. and bike the Qing-TIbet way is my dream! |

We went to Tibet in 4 person with trip arrangement by QualityTibet, qualitytibet@gmail.com. They arranged us legal Tibet permits, 4 Tibet train ticket from Xining to Lhasa on 29 July, then 6 days trip using 4500 landcruiser from Lhasa to Everest base Camp and end the trip in Kathmandu. This is a independent trip wothout joining a large group.
