I've seen many people asked about tibet railway, so I'd like to post the ticket prices of tibet railway. Hope it can help! All the prices here about sleeper refer to lower berth.


Lhasa-Xining, 1972km, hard seat RMB226, hard sleeper RMB523, soft sleeper RMB810.
Lhasa-Lanzhou, 2188km, hard seat 242, hard sleeper 552, soft sleeper 854.
Lhasa-Chengdu, 3360km, hard seat 331, hard sleeper 712, soft sleeper 1104.
Lhasa-Chongqing, 3654km, hard seat 355, hard sleeper 754, soft sleeper 1168.
Lhasa-Beijing, 4064km, hard seat 389, hard sleeper 813, soft sleeper 1262.

O, Yoyo, you are so kind. Thanks for sharing! I've heard that there will be direct trains run from Shanghai and Guangzhou. Isn't it?

yes, u are right. It is said that the direct train from Guangzhou to Lhasa will be opened this oct. 1. But the timetable of Shanghai-Lhasa hasn't been announced yet.
