It is known that passing Olympic torch across the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest in Tibet is a hotspot of 2008 Olympics. THe torch would by welcomed from Athens to the Mt. Everest and then to every provinces of China.

Tibet has selected some expert mountaineers to carry out this holy task. now, they are drilling strictly and intensely in the high mountain areas.

It is also a controversy now. Many people afraid that the climbing and TV broadcasting may effect the environment in Mt. Everest.

Yes, everything is a double sword. I think it is the common problem for all the scenic spots. whenever a scenery becomes well-known to us, more and more people want to have a look and it will be obviouly not virgin yet. Anyhow, it is said that CCTV has the experience to broadcast an event at high altitutes, maybe they can think out some way to make the things better.
