During the Tibetan New Year, a great prayer festival will be held in the monasteries of Tibet from Jan.3 to Jan. 15. They will hold prayer ceremonies and sutra-debating activities to pray for the world peace and prosperity.

This is the prayer ceremony scene in Sera Monastery, one of the three largest monasteries in Lhasa which is famous for the sutra-debating.
