Hey there!!! I am spending a couple of months in Hong Kong and would like to go to Tibet after my stay here. However, I would like to reach Tibet by bus (but not from Kathmandu or Golmud), but cannot find information anywhere. Any ideas where to look for infos??? Thanks a lot!!! |

I'll leave in Hong Kong and would like to take the train from there. Time does not really matter, money is rather the problem

You can go to Chengdu first and then to Lhasa according to the following routes: A.Chengdu-Kangding-Ganzi (Kardze )-Dege-Jiangda-Changdu(Chamdo)-Ranwu-Bayi-Lhasa B.Chengdu-Kangding-Litang-Mangkang-Zuogong-Basu-Bomi/Ranwu-Bayi-Lhasa |

As I know, there is potential risk if you travel by bus from chengdu to Lhasa during the rain seasons.

Hey I am trying to go over land from Hong Kong to Lhasa as well. I am really curious how much it costs and how long it takes.
