I am looking for a bit of a trek! Looking at the possibility of flying to bangkok and trying to get up to tibet the cheapest way poss! Any ideas on transportation?

no direct flight to Tibet from Bangkok
try to fly to Kunming, and then Tibet
about 1960 from Kunming to Tibet
