Hi, I want to go to tibet this summer. i would like to know if I can plan the trip on my own or if it's mandatory to be supported by a travel agency. can I just book an hotel on the net? do you have any suggestion for accomodations? thanks. f. |

Hi Fulio, Tibet is not yet very open to the public , so foreigners are only allowed to get to Tibet with a travel agent. And there are some more documentaries that you need pay attention to. You can first look at this: http://www.tibettrip.com/essential/documents.htm. |

For the accomadation, you'd better book a hotel, guest house or hostel in advance in the peak season. For Lhasa, it is http://www.tibettrip.com/lhasa/ There are some comparision and TEl NO. for you to contact them directly. Besides, now the private hostels of local families also spring up in many regions of Tibet, which are more economical and provide chances for you to approch their daily life closely.
