Hi there! I'm curious about Tibet and it's culture. I'm thinking of a 10 day trip. Is mid- September a good time to go? Also which hotel and main attractions would you recommend? --------------------------------------- http://www.london-travel.org |

Hi Longbow,September is acturally the best time to visit Tibet, when it is not so cold and rainy season has passed. Tibet has so many kinds of attractions that I'm sure it will satisfy those most fastidious people. For the mainly attractions, I think Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Steet, Namtso Lake (do try staying a night there), Mt. Everest, Sacred Lake Manosovar and Holy Mountain Kailash, and the picturesque and greenland of Nyingchi are really wonderful. If you want to find a hotel in Lhasa, please refer to http://www.tibettrip.com/lhasa/accommodation.htm You can also browse the 'accomadation' in the regional Tibet guide to find other information in this website. Gook Luck. |
