A couple of points for feedback:
Huating Hotel Shanghai very good but a little far outside Shanghai centre.
Holiday Inn Beijing. Service very slow at breakfast. Rooms good and clean.
Tours:
Far too many very expensive government approved shops. While the quality is good the prices are far too high. Negotiating is required to get a reasonable price (about 25% of asking price).
We would have loved to have had a city walking tour around Beijing Shanghai and/or Xian. Going into the local shops and markets with the guides. This they seemed reluctant to do. If time permits I suggest that it would be a popular addition to the itinerary. "
Regal China Cruise was excellent we managed an upgrade to the suites, although I am not allowed to tell anyone how much I paid, it was however a bargain!!

I am sorry about the late response, but after returning from China it was quite hectic on our side...
We did have a nice trip and we enjoyed it a lot. Thank you very much for all your organization and advices. We never had to wait for a guide, they were all in time. The hotels were also very convenient and clean, we can recommend all of them.
Concerning our itinerary we would suggest to add the following sights: on the way from Chengdu to Emeishan we asked the guide to bring us to Jianjiang to see the 1000 Buddhas. Although we were a bit too late to enter the temple with the 1000 buddhas we enjoyed the scenery and the rocks with some carved buddhas a lot.
The dinosaur museum in Zigong was very interesting (none of the travel guide books list this unique museum) and also the one about the salt dwelling. It would have been nice to stop at a salt dwelling still in use, but unfortunately we only passed by.
We will definitely travel again to China since there are still many interesting parts left for visiting - maybe in 2004. In any case we will then contact you again.
Looking forward to using your agency again.

We enjoyed the trip tremendously. The sights of the Li River in Guilin were simply breathtaking, and our guide did an excellent job of finding additional activities to keep us busy when we moved through some of the sites faster than he expected. Echo, our guide in Xian, showed us that there were many interesting things to see in addition to the Terra Cotta Army. She was an extremely good guide and her fondness for Xian and for meeting with travelers from all over the world was evident.
The only drawbacks I note are those made by many others. The guides were very hesitant to depart in any way from the schedule, even when we would indicate that we were willing to skip a planned stop to spend additional time at another and that we didnt expect a refund. Second, the food was bland and there was far too much of it! If you want to use restaurants that serve tourists for hygienic reasons, I suggest that you allow small groups to order from the menu (up to a set amount) rather than serve a pre-arranged meal. At several meals in Guilin, we were able to add a local dish or two to what was planned and we enjoyed them very much.
I have posted a review of your service, including my sincere recommendation, on the travel website IGOUGO. You can read it here: http://www.igougo.com/gtools/viewFreeForm.html?Entry=9552
Should I ever return to China, I will certainly use your services again.
Best wishes for your continued success.

The trip was excellent organized, all our local tour guides were very experienced and know their home towns very well. It was really a great fun to follow them. The hotels were excellent, but sometimes a little bit too far away from the city area, especially in Shanghai and Xian.
Datong: the coal mines produce air pollution. This is quite natural. Can you mention this in your introduction of Datong? Then it is easier to scope with the pollution.
Great Wall: Simatai is so beautiful that another place is not necessary.
B+L: after an excellent breakfast we often substituted lunch with an early dinner.
I recommend your travel agency to all my friends and of course I choose you when I plan another trip to China.

Concerning the organization of the travel, it was very good except with Guilin agency (see Nota in this mail). Concerning the proposed tour in Guizhou province, its better to propose the itinery Rongjiang->Kaili than Rongjiang->Sangdu->Duyun. Concerning the food, from time to time, we have requested to get local food (not Continental food as planned); we have chosen to know better some China provinces included the real food.
Thanks for all & next time I would like to come back I will contact you again."
Nota: We were disappointed by the Guilin travel agency (Guilin Ronghu International travel service): it was planned the 06th Feb to visit Drum Tower but it was not done because the guide has prefered to return to Guilin city than to stay 1 night in Sanjiang & said us good-bye the 07th Feb morning.

We both had a very enjoyable trip. We had many new and good experiences and our guides and drivers were very good and all was in order. We would certainly use your services again. By the way we enjoyed the many different types of food and there was more than enough to eat. The only discomfort we found was in the hotels in Vietnam. The 3 star standard was not the same as in Thailand or China and even in Vietnam some 3 stars were not as good as others in the country (i.e.) hard beds and poor showers. We commented to our local guides. Our drivers were excellent, but the road especially in Vietnam was dangerous as just going to the Mekong Delta & Airport we saw 3 accidents. We were most impressed with the services we received in China, Thailand & Vietnam while dinning.
