The 9^th Beijing Lingshan Mountain Tibetan Folklore Festival was undraped in Mentougou District of Beijing on Jul.7^th, which will last to Aug.31^st. This gives a good opportunity for the Tibet enthusiasts in Beijing to feel about the distinctive Tibetan customs, Tibetan dances and Tibetan food culture.?

Beijing Lingshan Mountain, called 'Lesser Tibet of Capital Beijing', is blessed with the similar surroundings with Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The mountain is covered with snow throughout the year except summer when flowers are booming and cool airs are permeated there. Besides, the Tibetan local decorations such as mani stones, prayer wheels and incense-burning platforms can be easily found on the mountain.

During the festival, there will be Tibetan singing and dancing performances, needfire parties, tug-of-war by neck, yak competition, archery and other activities, as well as Tibetan fashion and artistic exhibitions, and Tibetan Buddhist prayer ceremonies every day. In the Tibetan Street, visitors can watch the on-spot making process of Tibetan handicrafts and food, and also have a taste or purchase of them.
