First let me say that our trip was fabulous! I loved your country, the people, the culture, the scenery, and the food. Our trip was perfectly planned by you and your staff. Everything went smoothly, everyone was professional, courteous, attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable. We could not have chosen a better agency to plan our trip. Thanks to all that assisted in the planning, coordinating, and execution.

The food was delicious! Naturally everyone's taste buds are different so I very much liked having the variety. My only concern was that the portions were so large, and there were so many dishes, that we all felt very wasteful as we could not eat all of the food. The last restaurant we had lunch at in Beijing, is a must as the food was wonderful. I am not a duck fan, so I could have done without the Peking duck, but that again is my personal taste. The other dishes at the Peking duck restaurant were very good. The Tang Dynasty dinner was terrific! That entire evening was very enjoyable. Overall I found the food to be fabulous, just the portions were so large.

All of our guides were unique in their own way, and were exceptional. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Echo, the young lady we had in Xi'an. She spoke very westernized English so she was easy to understand, and she could easily converse in English. We did not expect any of our guides to know English to the level that Echo did. She had a very bubbly personality, and was very likeable. Again, this is no criticism of our other guides as they were all wonderful.

I believe I have convinced my father to go to China in the spring and he will definitely use your services. My brother, Buck, or myself will let you know. Thank you again for making our trip one that we will always remember.

I was so happy to meet you in Xi'an before the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show. Thank you so much for coming.

We both want to thank you so much for arranging the most wonderful trip for us. Everything was simply wonderful! The guides were always waiting for us. The hotels were very nice. The choice of restaurants and food was excellent. The service provided by the driver and especially the guides was simply outstanding. The shopping stops at the Jade and Friendship stores in Beijing, the Terra Cotta factories in Xi'an and the Stanley Market in Hong Kong were wonderful. We purchased many treasures to enjoy for years to come.

We have no complaints whatsoever, only compliments all the way!

Our guides, Emma in Xi'an and Alex in Hong Kong took exceptional care of us. They were kind and considerate at all times. The best guide for our trip was Hua Rong in Beijing. He immediately felt like an old friend. His knowledge of Chinese history and culture was amazing, and certainly enhanced our visit to Beijing immensely. He has a wonderful sense of humor. We had so much fun with him. Please make sure that his management in Beijing knows how pleased and lucky we were to get him for our guide.

I feel that I am learning Beijing with a very favorable impression of the people in the capital of China. You all have struck me as hard - working yet caring for family, curious yet serene. As your own life gets busier and busier, always take time to smell the roses.

Carole and I had one of the most memorable and enjoyable vacations that we've ever had. We owe this pleasure to you, to Tibettrip.com, to the excellent guides, and to the great drivers. Last, but certainly most important, we owe our pleasure to the wonderful people of China. Everyone made us feel welcome and we were surrounded with warmth and friendship. I will be sending photos to you, to our Xi-an guide Carol, to the other guides, and to many of the people that we had the opportunity of meeting. I am just in the process of organizing the pictures in my computer. I see that I shot 2,349 digital photos plus 144 35mm photos. It will take me a little time to organize them, but I will print out the photos that I wish to send first. In addition, dozens of Chinese people wanted to have photos taken of themselves with me. Louisa, our Kunming guide, told me that it's because I look so much like Karl Marx. I've decided that I should go into business in China. I can tour the country with a large sign stating, "Have a photo of yourself with Karl Marx's grandson. Only 40 yuan." I should become a millionaire in no time!

Regarding the specifics of our vacation:

1. All your personnel were very professional, friendly, and supportive, and responsive to our needs and requests. The guides were all very knowledgeable. The quality of their spoken English varied from good to excellent. At no time did we have a problem with language.

2. Even though one flight was delayed seven (7) hours and we arrived in Xi-an at 03:00, Carol and the driver were at the airport cheerfully waiting for us.

3. All our lunch and dinner meals were Chinese. We enjoyed the wide varity of foods and experienced many new tastes. On the whole we felt that the quality of food that we ate at the restaurants you provided, or recommended that we visit on our own was much better than the food we ate four years ago when we were with a large tour group. The best meals that we had, I believe, were in Xi-an (Xi-an Canton Palace), Dali (Lucy Cafe), and Lijiang (can't remember names).

We are telling our friends all about the excellent quality of service and freedom that we had on our vacation and will certainly use Tibettrip for our next vacation to China.

There is one business that if I were younger I think I would like to start in China. We found that many of the shops do not have a shipping service. There were a number of items that we were interested in, but they were too large, too heavy and they would have to be carried away in hand luggage. I would like to see a service that would pick up the items from the travellers hotels, properly package and address the items, and ship them for the travellers. In that way the travellers could purchase quality, larger items in the various cities, have them shipped by a reliable service and not be concerned with excess baggage. One overzealous ticket seller at Narita Japan grabbed a bag from Carole, dropped it and broke a beautiful plate that we puchased in China.

Perhaps you can expand it's services to include shipping services. I need a good business reason to return to China very soon. There is so much more to see of your beautiful country and there are so many more people to meet and make friends with.

Ask Carol to explain to you my other ideas for making dumplings with new tastes. I just have to get back to China soon.

  Dear Ms. Sally Si:

I don't know where to begin in thanking you for one of the most wonderful and amazing trips of my lifetime! Everything went perfectly and I can't say enough about your wonderful arrangements. We were met at the airport by Mr. Hua Rong and his driver. They also took us back to the airport at the end of our trip AND they were with us throughout the five days and couldn't have been more kind and more helpful. In fact I genuinely bonded with Mr. Rong and feel as if I have made a friend for life. I simply cannot wait to return to China and hope to come back next Spring.

The guide provided two bottles of water per day and insisted that we carry them with us as the air was dry and the days were long. It was terrific advice. And two bottles were just right!

As for meals, our favorite one was the Peking Duck dinner. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. And our guide (Mr. Rong) made it so much more enjoyable by explaining the many ways we could enjoy the duck. Fantastic! It would get my highest recommendation!!

As I mentioned earlier in this note, our guide (Mr. Hua Rong) was fantastic. I could not rate him any higher. He stayed with us day and night, kept us together, let us move at our own pace, was extremely informative, spoke absolutely perfect English (I mean PERFECT!) and obviously loved his work AND his country. He told us at the beginning that he hoped we would be surprised at what we would be seeing and we were totally surprised. Beijing was FULL of surprises ... at every turn. Hua took time to explain every detail and every nuance. He was completely attentive day and night. A superb guide who always gave us more than we had any right to expect! What a super person!!

The car was wonderful ... new, clean, so very comfortable. And the driver was very nice ... always smiling and so very polite. Let me also add that the hotel (Prime Hotel) was quite good too. Such helpful people there ... all of whom spoke English. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had a very nice breakfast buffet, with dozens and dozens of good things from which to choose.

So again let me thank you for the splendid trip. I will highly recommend your services to everyone who will listen to me and I invite you to use my comments in any way you wish. We could not be much happier about our experiences and simply can't wait to return to China!!!! Best wishes to you and to all who helped make this a wonderful experience!
