We are glad that you liked the calendar of our beautiful state of Arizona, USA. We are called "the Grand Canyon State" because of the famous Grand Canyon. If you look at the picture on the front of the calendar, that is a location very close to where we live, and often our sunsets look like that. Please come and visit us if you can.
When people ask us about our trip we tell them how satisfied we were with every part of the tour you arranged for us. Every driver was professional, every tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable, and all the connections worked perfectly. All of our expectations were exceeded. Thank you again for arranging such a nice tour for us.
Here are our comments about particular aspects of the tour.
Drivers and vehicles were very nice and clean. The water provided was more than enough, even on hot days. Drivers were polite and got us to our destinations safely, even in the worst traffic situations. I was very glad I was not driving or walking!
As to our specific guides:
Michael in Yishang was flexible in scheduling and we appreciated being able to eat later and see a museum first. Joan in Chongquing was very good and was flexible also in taking us to the zoo. The panda bears were a real highlight of our visit. Linda in Xi'an was very enthusiastic and happy to be with us. We liked her very much. Holly in Guilin was our favorite, showing us anything we wished to see and spending considerable time with us. She was very knowledgeable of the area and seemed to enjoy being with us.
We wished we had scheduled some tours through your company while in Beijing, since much of our time just slipped away. Our friends' relatives in Beijing took us to the temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, the Hutongs, and the Great Wall (we hired a driver for the day). But we didn't have the excellent guide service and commentary we were accustomed to.
We are recommending you and your company to our friends who are contemplating trips to China, especially before and during the Olympics. We were very pleased by every aspect of the tours you arranged and will do this again as soon as we can.
Thank you again for everything.
Sincerely, your friends,
Don and Veralyn Adams

After two weeks at home from my wonderful China tour I am finally gathering all my thoughts and wanted to thank everyone associated with my China trip for making it truly the visit of a lifetime. I particularly want to mention the excellent work of the guides in Beijing- Rose Tian, in Lhasa- Yang Jing and +Carol Chen in Xian. Rose Tian was especially helpful in working with the airline to ensure my lost baggage arrived soon after I did in Beijing. I was very concerned when my suitcase failed to show upon my arrival. Fortunately, it made it on day 2 and Rose really helped to get it to my hotel as soon as possible.
I was very pleased with the overall organization of the trip in terms of great hotels, fluent English-speaking, knowledgeable guides and of course wonderful, exciting and interesting tours each day. The food was excellent and quite an experience for American tastes, particularly the Peking Duck and dumpling dinners. Each meal was an experience, especially the Yak steaks in Tibet. My interest in photography has never had more diverse and colorful subjects. I am still sorting through more than 1000 pictures to select just the right ones for a slide presentation.
My friends have asked me what I enjoyed most in China. A difficult question. Of course, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the Potala Palace in Tibet and the Terra-Cotta warriors in Xian were the trip highlights. The cultural shows in Beijing, Lhasa, Xian and Shanghai were also very interesting. However, perhaps the most special experience was seeing the energetic and friendly people of China at work building the future of their country. It is clear that China is a country with great history and traditions that is moving ahead rapidly toward economic development and better lives for its citizens.
It is obvious that Tibettrip provides a great service for its clients at a reasonable cost. I particularly enjoyed the parts of my trip with only a few other tourists. As there were only three of us in Lhasa and Xian, we had very personalized service. I must also mention the terrific job done by the drivers in dealing with the heavy traffic in every city. We always felt safe and were able to focus on the sights in complete comfort.
Thanks again to everyone who made this very special trip possible. I would definitely recommend Warrior Tours to anyone planning a trip to China.

We have just got back from the most wonderful holiday. Everything has been perfect, the only imperfection being the fact that we do not have enough time to stay longer here. I must comment on Nancy, our guide in Beijing and Pemba our guide here in Tibet. They are both outstanding. Nancy made our stay in Beijing most memorable and her knowledge of the places we visited excellent. Pemba too is extremely knowledgeable and like Nancy has a good sense of humour. Any doubts I may have had prior to leaving dissolved as soon as I got the Hong Kong to Beijing Dragonaire ticket the moment we checked in to our hotel. The guides and drivers through out the journey were excellent but special mention must be made of the following guides, Nancy in Beijing, Pemba in Tibet and Prakash in Varanasi and the following drivers, Mr. Chan in Beijing, Hecktun La in Tibet and Anand Singh from Agra to Delhi. They had a special sparkle to them that made their contribution outstanding.
Dear old Gyantse had a very friendly staff, who communicated with us very successfully by sign language. The hotel there was what we had anticipated and we were not disappointed by it.
Finally we have to thank both of you for being so extremely efficient in arranging this for us. It was PERFECT. We have brought back many memories of China, Tibet, Nepal and India. We have also learnt a lot of the culture of China and Tibet with which we were not at all familiar. Once again many thanks for an excellent visit so far and I am SURE it is going to continue,
With our best regards,
Pratha.

Tai xie xie le. Wo hen kuai le!!!!!
Our holiday in China was a wonderful experience. We met so many beautiful people. We have been to many countries and I can honestly say that the Chinese people we met make it the most friendly country in the world!!
I am so glad that I was able to come to your office to meet you. Despite never seeing you before I felt very relaxed and the impression that I had in my mind of you was totally fulfilled. I feel sad now that I didn't have the courage to ask you if I could take a photo of you but I was conscious that I didn't want to offend you or give you the wrong impression. You are a really warm person and I felt a little sad that it was impossible to make more of a friend of you. But I have been hoping to find a Chinese pen friend and I was wondering if you would think about exchanging letters and e mails with me. As I improve my Chinese I would eventually correspond in both English and Hanyu. I hope you feel able to consider this (my wife, Sue, is ok about me asking this).
I was amazed at the warmth and friendliness of Chinese people. Sue and I have travelled quite extensively and China is by far the best place we have ever been to.
I hope to return to China in the future, and this is likely to be to officiate at major table tennis tournaments. There is a strong possibiity that I may come to Guangzhou next year for the World Championships and to Beijing for the Olympics. If I do I will use Tibettrip for my travel arrangements. Whenever possible I will give your Company the highest recommendation. English companies do offer a good service but one always get the impression that they are only interested in their profit; with TibetTrip I have always had the impression that your prime concern is ensuring that your customers receive the best possible service. I hold your Company in the highest esteem. I will be making appropriate comments on the website VirtualTourist.com
Hope this e mail is not too long.
Your organisation of our tour was superb!!
Take care.

We're now back in Hong Kong. Thank you for your superb last minute organisation of a wonderful holiday for us. Everything went beautifully and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Weve recommended your service to our daughter, who will undoubtedly do some China travel in the next few years. She will also have no problem in recommending you to her friends in Hong Kong.
The experience on the boat was fantastic, and the cruise to the Three Gorges was unbelievable. We hope to return in 2010 when everything is complete. Everything was well organised, the guides and drivers and their service exceptional.
Our only problem was how much to tip the drivers and guides. What is this usually?
It was a little difficult, as some guides we only had for a few hours etc, one just to pick up from and take to airport, and others longer. I know that we probably over tipped some and undertipped others, as it was a learning experience for us. The boat was ok, as they gave us the recommended rates.
Our thanks again for all your help. I can just imagine all the organisation that went into the trip from your office. If you ever come to Australia, perhaps we can show you around.
kind regards

Thank you very much for your message. It was my intention to write to you when we got back, but you got to me first!
We returned safely from our trip yesterday night, and wish to thank you sincerely for organizing what was a unique and memorable tour, which we will always remember. Here are a few comments:
The Flight Cancellation – Please do not concern yourself about this. Although I told you in previous e-mails that I am a nervous traveler, I am also an experienced one, and I have been flying and waiting for airplanes all over the world, including the one year when I lived in South China (Zhanjiang) 23 years ago. I understand that the scheduling of airplane flights is outside of everybody’s control. This was why I arranged for a few days in Beijing AFTER the Tibet tour, and I was right to do so. When we finally got to Beijing we still had 24 hours before our flight to the USA. We were a little stressed, but thanks to your company’s great policy (see below), not very much.
Getting Things in Beijing – On Monday night (July 5), as we returned from visiting the show of acrobats, an envelope containing our flight tickets to Lhasa and the Tibet Travel Permit was waiting for us in our room, just as you promised.
The Program – the program which you set up was perfect for a one-week visit to Tibet. It allowed us to see the most important buildings in the cities of Lhasa, Shigatse, Gyantse and Tsetang, as well as the wonderful scenery in- between. I must admit that the first day was difficult – climbing the stairs in the Potala Palace was not always easy. After a few days, I was able to overcome the effects of the high altitude (we had altitude sickness pills which our doctor gave us), but it took a little longer for my wife. We very much enjoyed everything that we were able to see.
The Tour Guide – Ms. Yong Jing, our guide, was the best we could have hoped for. She is a very friendly person, always smiling and laughing, very knowledgeable about the places we visited and the cultural background and history belonging to them. She was always able to answer any questions we had about the country and the people, and through her we learnt very much. She was also very careful in making sure that we did not do too much in the first days, always reminding us to walk slowly because of the thin air. When my wife was still feeling bad after 3 days, she was concerned enough to suggest visiting a clinic. Fortunately, that was not necessary, but we appreciated her concern.
The Driver – Mr. Lha Chong, our driver, was a marvel. In the nine days (counting our unexpected extra stay due to the flight cancellation) he drove for us, sometimes on some very problematic roads, he showed extraordinary skill in driving his Toyota Landcruiser, especially on the road surrounding Lake Yamdrok, which consisted of deep mud full of trucks, buses and cars which were stuck, and yet never took any unnecessary risks. We felt 100 % safe with him. Even though he only knows a few words of English (and I only knew a few words of Tibetan), we got along very well; he always laughed and smiled and was a great travel companion.
We highly commend the team of Ms. Yong Jing and Mr. Lha Chong and recommend them to all visitors who come to Tibet through your organization.
Board and Lodging – we were very comfortably put up in all hotels we stayed in during our tour, and were always well fed – sometimes too well fed. It seemed that in some restaurants they would put as much food on our table of two as was put on tables for eight people. The food was delicious but it was often too much; we hated to send any back but simply could not eat it all.
Your Company Policy – After dropping us off at Gonggar Airport on Thursday, July 15th, we expected Ms. Yong Jing and Mr. Lha Chong to return to Lhasa, since we knew that they both were starting on new tours the next day, and needed some time to relax. When Air China announced the cancellation, it took us some time to make our way back to the check-in counter, where we were very surprised (but pleasantly) to see Ms. Yong Jing. She explained that it was the policy of the company that the guides must remain available in the airport area until they are certain that the clients have taken off. First she heard that the flight was delayed, and then cancelled. Because there were so many angry people at the information booth, it was much easier for her to get information then if I had tried. That is how we found that Air China would put us up in the Lhasa Hotel for the night (the Airport Hotel was completely full already), that a bus would take us there, and that we should return for check-in early the next morning with the same bus. However, the bus was already full, so Ms. Yong Jing and Mr. Lha Chong very kindly took us up to Lhasa in the Landcruiser. After checking into the Lhasa Hotel, Ms. Yong Jing found out that the bus would not have any seats for us the next morning. When I told her that we would take a taxi, she was horrified. Much too dangerous, she said (I believed her – we saw how dangerously the taxi drivers operate). She called her manager, and arranged for a company car to drive us down the next morning, for an extra charge which we gladly paid. It turned out that the driver was none other than Mr. Lha Chong. We felt very badly that he would not have the morning to rest before his next tour, but in truth, the next morning, in the dark and with heavy rain, we were very grateful to have such a safe driver. At 8:30 the plane from Chengdu arrived, and we took off at 10:00.
We wish to strongly commend and thank your company for maintaining the policy of keeping an eye on the clients until they have left for sure. If we had been obliged to understand what was happening on our own, it would have been much more difficult, and we may well have ended up missing our flight.
Finally, let me say that, since last November, when I first contacted you about this tour, you have been in every way responsive and helpful, always answering my questions within a short time, and showing great patience with me. Your organization is first-class, both in Xi’an and in Tibet. I will be recommending your company to any friends I know who are interested in this kind of travel (I already gave your website to one young man we met on the flight from Chengdu to Lhasa).
In a few years, my wife and I will probably want to return and see more of China (Xi’an, Changsha, Nanjing, and Guilin would be the highlights), and we hope that we can get this organized through your company as well.
Many thanks again for having made my dream a reality, and I wish you and your families good health and good luck.
Very sincerely,
Henry M. Lieberman
