Topic: The first mountaineer to the peak of Mt.Everest - Sir Edmund Percival Hillary Passed away

It is reported that the first mountaineer who had successfully climbed to the peak of Mt.Everest - Sir Edmund Percival Hillary passed away on Jan 10th at the age of 88.

Edmund Percival Hillary was from New Zeland, and first climbed to the Everest Peak on May 29th,1953. During the later 20 years, he had also explored many other places, including South Pole, Himalays for 6 times, seeking the trace of Snow Man on Tibetan Plateau, seeking the source of Yangtze River. Last January, he went to South Pole for a second time. Last April, During the mountaineering wihin Nepal, he had wounded carelessly, resulting his bad health later.
During his lifetime, he had also done many beneficence work. He had said that he took more pride on this work than climbing to the peak of Mt. Everest.
A really great man, isn't it? Let's pray for the peace of him in the heaven.
