Lhasa: Two New Bus Routes Leading to Lhasa Railway Station Increased

Published : 3:33 A.M. EST, May 6, 2007
To meet travelers' demand on transportation, Lhasa opened two new bus routes No. 86 and No. 89 running between Lhasa Railway Station and the city district from May 1st.

There used to be only one bus route No. 91 from the railway station to the city district. The two new bus routes No. 86 and No. 89 run through the newly launched Liuwu Bridge, the first modern overpass of Tibet, and pass by the most bustled areas in Lhasa, such as Norbulingka and Potala Palace. These two routes are operated by 16 buses. After the opening of the new routes, the original bus route No. 91 remains the same.

These two new bus routes will link some areas without buses, and greatly improve the transportation for the local people and tourists.
